Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad will implement toll rate discounts
and fee waivers on toll roads during the 2026 Eid exodus and return
journey to reduce traffic congestion during this period.

Widyatmiko Nursetaji, Senior General Manager of Jasamarga
Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division, stated that the company is
considering opening the Japek II South toll route to alleviate
congestion and will waive tolls on this route during Eid. “This route
will be completely free of charge for users if traffic is diverted
there. From Sadang to Japek South, it will be free,” he said in Bandung
on Friday, 13 March.

He emphasised that the Japek II South toll road waiver will only
apply during the Eid return journey, specifically for traffic travelling
from Bandung towards Jakarta. “So it will only be during the return
journey,” he clarified.

Although technically ready for full 24-hour operation beginning 15
March, the opening of Japek II South will be situational in nature.
According to him, the decision to open the route rests with the police,
taking into account congestion conditions at critical points. “This
discretionary measure will be implemented if significant vehicle
accumulation occurs, particularly at KM 66 heading towards Jakarta or
congestion at the Cikampek Utama toll gate,” he said.

Japek II South, he added, spans 52 kilometres and features several
exit gates. “For traffic from Bandung, entry is via the Sadang
functional route, and exits are available at Kutanegara, Bojongmangu,
Sukaragam, and the Setu Junction,” he explained.

In addition, Jasamarga will implement a 30 per cent toll discount on
the Cipularang and Cisumdawu toll routes to support the 2026 Eid
momentum. This discount applies to the longest-distance toll road users
in the Cipularang-Padaleunyi cluster, specifically those entering from
Kalihurip Utama North Gate and exiting at Cisumdawu Utama. “The discount
applies to the longest-distance users entering from Kalihurip Utama and
exiting at Cisumdawu Utama,” he stated.

The discount will be effective for outbound traffic from 15 March
(00.00) through 17 March (23.59). For return traffic, the same discount
will apply from 26 March (00.00) through 28 March (23.59).

Widyatmiko explained that Jasamarga is implementing the discount to
encourage travellers to depart earlier. “We hope travellers will be
attracted by the discounted rates on those dates, so travellers do not
accumulate at peak times,” he said.

With this combination of toll discounts and free alternative routes,
traffic congestion on main routes is expected to ease, making journeys
smoother. “We hope people will spread out their departures, not
concentrating at one time and one toll access point,” he concluded.

Peak outbound traffic is predicted for 14–15 March and 18–19 March
2026. Peak return traffic is forecast for 25–26 March and 28–29 March
2026.
",
