Japan's mission to visit RI<\/p>\n
TOKYO (AP): Japan will send a delegation of officials to
\nIndonesia for talks on promoting economic reforms in the
\nSoutheast Asian nation, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said
\nTuesday.<\/p>\n
The group of officials from Japan's agriculture, finance,
\nforeign and trade ministries will depart yesterday for a three-
\nday visit, said a Foreign Ministry official.<\/p>\n
Delegation members will hold talks with local government
\nofficials and representatives of Japanese companies, said the
\nofficial, who spoke on condition of anonymity.<\/p>\n
Japan, the biggest aid donor to Indonesia, had planned to
\ndisburse US$1 billion in loans last month, but discussions with
\nofficials in Jakarta were postponed due to political turmoil in
\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n
Also Tuesday, Japan downgraded its warning against travel to
\nIndonesia to an advisory, Kyodo News reported. The change allows
\nfamilies of Japanese working in Indonesia to return, but
\ndiscourages leisure travel to areas outside the resort island of
\nBali.<\/p>",
