Japanese woman killed at home<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A 73-year-old Japanese woman was stabbed to
\ndeath in her residence at the PLN housing complex in Duren Tiga,
\nSouth Jakarta, police sources said on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Mitsue Ivonne Culas-Tado, a widow who lived with her only
\ndaughter Noriko, was found in her garage on Friday with several
\nwounds which police said was caused by a kitchen knife.<\/p>\n
The victim was taken to Tria Dipa Hospital in the nearby Pasar
\nMinggu area. However, she died and her body was later admitted to
\nthe morgue of Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital in Central
\nJakarta.<\/p>\n
A neighbor, Hendarmin Dwikaryanto, said he heard cries for
\nhelp from the residence about 7 p.m. and approached the house
\nwith members of his family.<\/p>\n
He found Culas-Tado on the floor and heard noises from the
\nrear room. He saw a man heading to the back of the house,
\nHendarmin said.<\/p>\n
The man ran some 500 meters from the house, after which he was
\ncaught by locals and beaten until police arrived at the scene.<\/p>\n
Hendarmin said the man had been seen earlier a number of times
\nat the residence with his wife. Police have questioned the man,
\nidentified as Nickson, 28, a resident of Setia Budi district,
\nSouth Jakarta, but have yet to find a motive. (07)<\/p>",
