        "content": "<p>Japanese travel agencies visit Bali<\/p>\n<p>DENPASAR: Representatives of over 91 Japanese travel agencies<br>\nwithin the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) visited Bali<br>\nover the weekend to assess the latest security situation on the<br>\nisland.<\/p>\n<p>The three-day visit, led by JATA chairman Yukio Ishii, also<br>\nbrought 16 Japanese journalists and travel writers.<\/p>\n<p>It was the second visit by Japanese travel representatives to<br>\nthe island since the Oct. 12 attack, which killed more than 190<br>\npeople, mostly foreigners.<\/p>\n<p>In a meeting with local government officials on Saturday, the<br>\nbusinesspeople expressed their support for efforts to improve<br>\nsecurity protection on the island.<\/p>\n<p>Bali deputy governor I Gusti Bagus Alit Putra told the<br>\nJapanese that the government would issue security guarantee<br>\ndocuments to foreign travel bureaus that regularly brought<br>\nforeign tourists to the island.<\/p>\n<p>During their stay in Bali, the representatives observed a<br>\nvariety of measures carried out to improve security at the<br>\nairport, hotels, shopping centers and several tourist<br>\nattractions.<\/p>\n<p>In November, some 200 JATA members also visited Bali. --Antara<\/p>",
