        "content": "<p>Japan import of RI crude fall<\/p>\n<p>TOKYO (Reuters): Japan's crude oil imports from Indonesia have<br>\nbeen falling as the nation's electric power firms burn less crude<br>\noil and depend more on coal and nuclear power, industry sources<br>\nsaid yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Data released by the Ministry of International Trade and<br>\nIndustry (MITI) yesterday showed that crude oil imports from<br>\nIndonesia fell in April from the previous year for the seventh<br>\nconsecutive month.<\/p>\n<p>A ministry official said lower consumption by electric power<br>\nutilities rather than turmoil in the Southeast Asian nation was<br>\nthe reason behind the decline.<\/p>\n<p>\"Electric power companies are using less crude oil for direct<br>\nburning, and that is the primary reason for the decline,\" the<br>\nofficial said.<\/p>\n<p>Crude oil imports from Indonesia amounted to 947,520<br>\nkiloliters (kl) in April, or roughly six million barrels-per-day<br>\n(bpd), down 26.5 percent from a year earlier, according to the<br>\nMITI data.<\/p>",
