        "content": "<p>Jamsostek gives Rp 40b for housing<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: State-owned social security firm PT Jamsostek has<br>\nallocated Rp 40 billion (US$4.8 million) to develop more<br>\naffordable housing for workers in industrial zones.<\/p>\n<p>Jamsostek president Achmad Djunaidi said on Friday that the<br>\ncompany was surveying industrial zones that should take priority<br>\nin the low-cost apartment project.<\/p>\n<p>The provincial governments of Banten, East Java, West Java and<br>\nNorth Sumatra have long proposed that Jamsostek build inexpensive<br>\nhousing in the industrial areas, due to the skyrocketing rent for<br>\nhouses in those provinces.<\/p>\n<p>Jamsostek has so far developed several affordable apartments<br>\nfor low-income workers in the industrial areas of Batam, Riau;<br>\nCikarang, West Java; and Makassar, South Sulawesi. -- JP<\/p>",
