        "content": "<p>Jambi (ANTARA) - The Jambi Search and Rescue Team evacuated three\nworkers who died as a result of gas poisoning in the hold of the barge\nKM TS Daya Niaso, which was undergoing repairs on the banks of the\nBatanghari River in Jambi. \u201cThe Jambi Office of Search and Rescue\n(Basarnas Jambi) launched a rescue operation for three workers suspected\nof gas poisoning inside the hold of the barge KM TS Daya Niaso,\u201d\nBasarnas Jambi spokesman M Luthfi said in Jambi on Wednesday. The\nincident occurred along the Batanghari River, in the Niaso area, Muaro\nJambi Regency. The three victims being evacuated were named Zulkarnain,\nPopo, and Rudiansyah. All were already deceased. \u201cThey are believed to\nhave been exposed to dangerous gas while carrying out repairs inside the\nvessel\u2019s hold,\u201d he said. The chronology of events, based on the first\nreport received by standby officers at 09:15 Western Indonesian Time\n(WIB) from Sani, the barge owner. Shortly afterwards, they suddenly grew\nfaint and did not respond from within the hull. Upon seeing this, the\nvessel owner immediately called for emergency assistance. In response to\nthe report, the Jambi SAR dispatched a single search and rescue unit\nwith eight personnel at 09:35 WIB. The team travelled by land and water,\ncovering 13.5 km from the Jambi SAR Office, with an estimated arrival at\nthe coordinates 1\u00b034\u201947.99\u201dS-103\u00b037\u201955.90\u201dE around 10:20 WIB. The\noperation took place in overcast weather. The joint SAR team, comprising\npersonnel from the Jambi SAR Office and local residents, used confined\nspace rescue equipment to evacuate in the confined space and to\nanticipate toxic gas. The equipment deployed included a rescue car, a\nrigid buoyancy boat to enable equipment mobility for confined-space\noperations, followed by medical and evacuation gear, communication\nequipment, and a thermal drone to monitor visual conditions and\ntemperature in the hold area. As of this report, the joint team was\nstill attempting to recover the three victims from the barge\u2019s hold, and\ntheir bodies had already been evacuated.<\/p>",
