        "content": "<p>Jakarta\u2019s odd-even traffic system has been suspended today, Thursday,\n28 May 2026, in conjunction with the national holiday and Eid al-Adha\nleave day. The Jakarta Provincial Government, through the Department of\nTransportation (Dishub), confirmed that the odd-even vehicle\nrestrictions based on license plate numbers will not apply on Wednesday\nand Thursday, 27-28 May 2026. \u2018In connection with the Eid al-Adha\nnational holiday and leave day on 27-28 May 2026, the implementation of\nthe odd-even system on various Jakarta roads has been suspended,\u2019 stated\nDKI Jakarta\u2019s Department of Transportation in an Instagram post on\nFriday, 22 May 2026. Under this policy, Jakarta\u2019s odd-even system is\nonly in effect for three days this week, namely: During the suspension,\nall motor vehicles, regardless of license plate numbers, can freely use\nroads that typically enforce traffic restrictions. The policy also\nreferences Jakarta Provincial Regulation No.\u00a088 of 2019, Article 3,\nClause 3. The regulation states that the odd-even system does not apply\non Saturdays, Sundays, and government-declared national holidays.\n\u2018Traffic restrictions under the odd-even system are not enforced on\nSaturdays, Sundays, and national holidays determined by Presidential\nDecree,\u2019 the regulation states. Despite the temporary suspension of\ntraffic restrictions, DKI Jakarta\u2019s Department of Transportation has\nurged the public to prioritise road safety during the extended Eid\nal-Adha holiday period.
