Jakarta \u2013 Jakarta West Mayor Iin Mutmainnah has urged residents to\ninform their local RT and RW (neighbourhood administrative\nrepresentatives) before returning to their hometowns for the Eid al-Fitr\n2026 holiday break.<\/p>\n
\u201cDear residents, we will soon be celebrating Eid al-Fitr. For those\nplanning to return to their hometowns, I urge you to entrust your homes\nto the RT and RW administrators and close neighbours,\u201d said Iin when\nconfirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Additionally, Iin requested that residents ensure all electrical\nequipment is switched off to prevent unwanted incidents. \u201cLet us take\nprecautions to keep our neighbourhood safe,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n
For residents not returning home, Iin highlighted that the DKI\nJakarta Provincial Government programme titled \u201cCome to Jakarta\u201d with\nthe slogan \u201cJakarta is Quieter, Holiday Shopping is More Enjoyable,\nMoney Flows In\u201d could be a reason to remain in the capital.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this programme, there will be many discounts available in\nshopping malls and traditional markets such as Tanah Abang, as well as\ndiscounted accommodation at various hotels,\u201d Iin explained.<\/p>\n
According to Iin, the programme is intended for residents who want to\nenjoy a more comfortable and smooth atmosphere in Jakarta without\ntraffic congestion.<\/p>\n
