Jakarta (ANTARA) - A number of significant and interesting events\noccurred in Jakarta on Thursday (10\/9), including Pramono\u2019s target for\nthe completion of the Integrated Utility Network (SJUT) within five\nyears and the trial runs of the Jakarta LRT.<\/p>\n
Regarding the LRT trial, the Head of the Jakarta Transportation\nAgency (Dishub), Budi Awaluddin, stated that the agency will open access\nfor members of the public who wish to participate in the trial of the\nKelapa Grending-Manggarai LRT route via invitations or registration\nthrough the official Jakarta LRT website. \u201cYes, there will be access\nthrough invitations as well as registration via the website,\u201d said Budi\nafter inspecting the route at Manggarai LRT Station, Jakarta, on\nThursday.<\/p>\n
Aditia Kesuma Negara, President Director of PT LRT Jakarta, explained\nthat traffic flow around Manggarai will return to normal after being\ndiverted due to the construction of the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT\nroute. \u201cWe will gradually normalise the road positions below. It will be\ncleared again, including the integration with the Manggarai KRL\nStation,\u201d said Aditia during an inspection at Kelapa Gading Station,\nNorth Jakarta, on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The Jakarta Provincial Government has allocated a budget of Rp90\nbillion for the construction of the Integrated Utility Network (SJUT) at\nseveral points across the capital. \u201cThe budget for building this SJUT is\nRp90 billion, covering a length of 16.9 kilometres,\u201d said the Head of\nthe Public Works Agency, Heru Suwondo, after inspecting SJUT\nconstruction in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has set a target for the\ncompletion of the SJUT development within the next five years. \u201cTo be\nhonest, I am planning that within 5 years, all cables currently on the\nsurface can be moved underground. Whether 5 years is achievable or not\ndepends on the fact that there are approximately 6,500 kilometres to be\nhandled. However, if this is handled totally\u2014meaning it does not rely\nsolely on the Public Works Agency\u2014I am confident it can be done,\u201d said\nPramono after inspecting cable management on Jalan Soepomo, Tebet, South\nJakarta.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate\n(Ditreskrimsus) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police conducted checks on\nthe availability and price of face masks from producers to distributors.\nThis was done to ensure stocks remain secure and to maintain price\nstability amidst increasing public demand. \u201cThis inspection is being\ncarried out to ensure that the public\u2019s need for masks remains met and\nthat prices remain reasonable.
