The Head of the Jakarta Environmental Agency (DLH), Dudi Gardesi,\nstated in an official briefing on Friday that the blackout will affect\nthe National Monument (Monas), the Arjuna Wiwaga Statue, the Selamat\nDatang Monument at the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout, the Pahlawan\nStatue, the General Sudirman Statue, and the Jakarta City Hall area.<\/p>\n
He noted that the action serves as a reminder that environmental\nawareness can begin with simple habits, including the wise use of\nelectricity.<\/p>\n
\u201cEveryone can play a role, whether at home, in the workplace, or in\nbusiness premises. Simple steps taken together and consistently will\nyield greater benefits,\u201d said Dudi.<\/p>\n
The conservation effort is estimated to result in a reduction of\napproximately 60.14 tonnes of CO\u2082e emissions.<\/p>\n
