The Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has reminded residents\nin the northern coastal areas of Jakarta to be aware of the potential\nfor coastal flooding or \u2018rob\u2019 between May 14th and 21st, 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe phenomenon of maximum sea-level rise coinciding with the Super\nNew Moon phase (new moon and perigee) on May 17th, 2026, has the\npotential to increase the maximum sea-level, resulting in coastal\nflooding or \u2018rob\u2019 in the northern coastal areas of Jakarta,\u201d wrote the\nJakarta BPBD on Friday, May 15th, 2026.<\/p>\n
