        "content": "<p>Jakarta Police create new precincts<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta Post, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>Three new police precincts will be established in Tangerang<br>\nmunicipality, Bekasi municipality and Kepulauan Seribu regency<br>\nthis month in a bid to better serve and protect the public.<\/p>\n<p>\"The decision was made in compliance with a National Police<br>\ndecree this week. Since the three areas have been developing<br>\nrapidly, we think they need their own police stations,\" city<br>\npolice chief Insp. Gen. Firman Gani announced on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Bekasi Police, whose chief is Sr. Comr. Edward<br>\nPernong, serve residents of both Bekasi regency and Bekasi<br>\nmunicipality. The Bekasi City Police will oversee the<br>\nmunicipality itself and will be under the command of chief Adj.<br>\nSr. Comr. Joko Hartanto.<\/p>\n<p>The same system will apply to Tangerang Police, whose chief is<br>\nSr. Comr. I Ketut Untung Yoga and which oversees Tangerang<br>\nregency and Tangerang municipality. Tangerang City Police will be<br>\nseparate from the regency police and will have Adj. Sr. Comr.<br>\nRusli Hedyana as their chief.<\/p>\n<p>The Kepulauan Seribu Utara Police and Kepulauan Seribu Selatan<br>\nPolice stations, which are currently under the command of the<br>\nNorth Jakarta Police, will work under the new Kepulauan Seribu<br>\nPolice department.<\/p>\n<p>The former North Jakarta Police deputy chief, Adj. Sr. Comr.<br>\nBoy Rafli Amar, will take the post of Kepulauan Seribu Police<br>\nchief.<\/p>\n<p>The three newly appointed officers have started overseeing<br>\ntheir jurisdictions, including construction of the stations,<br>\nwhich is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.<\/p>",
