Ideas\nneed to be improved,\u2019 said Commission B Chair Nova Harivan Paloh in\nJakarta on Monday. He added that various activities held in Jakarta can\nimpact multiple sectors while driving economic growth in the capital.\n\u2018Additionally, Jakarta needs to develop its tourism icons to position\nitself as a business hub and tourist destination both nationally and\ninternationally,\u2019 he said. \u2018The city\u2019s icons must be enhanced to provide\nmore options for travellers,\u2019 Nova stated. He also noted that the\ntourism and creative economy sectors must be strengthened to enhance\nJakarta\u2019s appeal and boost local revenue (PAD). Meanwhile, Tourism and\nCreative Economy Office Secretary Helma Dahlia said her department is\nprepared to follow up on legislative input by adding event agendas to\nsupport religious holidays in 2027.
