        "content": "<p>Jakarta mulls use of smart card<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The city administration is considering replacing<br>\nidentity cards with an integrated smart card that would contain<br>\nthe holder's personal information, including fingerprints.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Population and Civil Registration Agency Khamil<br>\nAbdul Kadir said on Thursday the officials would first discuss<br>\nthe plan to make an integrated data bank with other institutions,<br>\nsuch as the police, health agency and tax office.<\/p>\n<p>\"The smart card is a multipurpose one ... We have to study it<br>\nfirst before producing it,\" he added.<\/p>\n<p>Khamil revealed the plan after a presentation from PT Sumber<br>\nSarana Infopratama about the smart card.
