This phase 1 of the\nJakarta MRT East-West line will connect Tomang in West Jakarta to Medan\nSatria in Bekasi. Currently, the MRT Phase 3 project is still in the\nland acquisition and station site determination stages. \u201cThe DKI Jakarta\nGovernment is now continuing progress on the East-West MRT. In several\nsegments, land acquisition, route setting, station site determination,\nand so on are underway,\u201d Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday\n(12\/5\/2026). Pramono hopes the initial construction stage of the\nEast-West MRT can proceed smoothly so that operations can start in 2030.\n\u201cHopefully, if this runs smoothly, the first segment can be enjoyed in\n2030 for East-West,\u201d he said. For context, the Jakarta MRT East-West\nline stretches approximately 84 kilometres from Cikarang in West Java to\nBalaraja in Banten, passing through Jakarta. The corridor route is\ndivided into two phases: phase 1 from Kembangan to Medan Satria,\nspanning 33.7 kilometres, and phase 2 from Balaraja to Kembangan and\nMedan Satria to Cikarang, with a total length of about 50 kilometres.\nConstruction of phase 1 will be carried out in two stages: stage 1 from\nTomang to Medan Satria, 24.5 kilometres long, and stage 2 from Kembangan\nto Tomang, about 9 kilometres. This line will also connect to the\nRorotan depot with an additional track of around 5.7 kilometres.
