PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda), or Jakpro, has completed the\nfinal girder installation for the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B\nVelodrome\u2013Manggarai route. The last girder was placed above the\nManggarai Double-Double Track (DDT) area, which was identified as one of\nthe most critical points in the entire project. This achievement means\nthe entire girder installation work along the Velodrome\u2013Manggarai\ncorridor is now 100% connected, marking the completion of one of the\nmost challenging construction stages.<\/p>\n
Jakpro President Director Iwan Takwin explained that the Manggarai\nDDT area required special attention because it is situated directly\nabove an existing, high-intensity railway line. The girder installation\nat this location demanded thorough planning, cross-agency coordination,\nand the use of limited working windows to ensure the safety and\ncontinuity of active train operations. \u2018The challenge was not only the\ntechnical aspect of construction but also coordinating safety with\nongoing railway operations,\u2019 Iwan said.<\/p>\n
With the girder installation complete, the overall progress of the\nLRT Jakarta Phase 1B construction has reached 94.061% as of the fourth\nweek of June 2026. The next phase will focus on completing remaining\nworks and strengthening operational readiness. Jakpro is targeting the\nLRT Jakarta Phase 1B to enter the operational stage by August 2026. The\nproject is part of the Jakarta Provincial Government\u2019s efforts to\nstrengthen the public transport system and support the city\u2019s global\naspirations.
