Pramono stated that the Jakarta Provincial Government fully supports\nthe event, expressing confidence that the second day of the race on\nSunday\u2014featuring the half and full marathons\u2014will go even better.<\/p>\n
He is already setting his sights on a larger, more organized event\nnext year to coincide with Jakarta\u2019s 500th anniversary.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) President Director Nixon LP\nNapitupulu noted that favorable weather and high public enthusiasm were\ncrucial factors in the success of the opening day.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that large-scale sporting events like JAKIM create a\npositive domino effect for Jakarta\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n
According to projections by race organizer Indonesia Muda Road\nRunner, economic turnover from BTN JAKIM 2026 is targeted to reach Rp225\nbillion (around US$12.6 million), a significant jump from last year\u2019s\nestimate of Rp155 billion.<\/p>\n
Overall, BTN JAKIM 2026 drew 45,500 registered runners, including\n1,012 international participants from 52 countries, with the highest\nforeign attendance coming from Malaysia, Singapore, and South Korea.<\/p>\n
On the first day, 5,500 runners competed in the 5K category and\n15,000 in the 10K.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, 16,400 runners are set to participate in the\nhalf-marathon, while another 8,600 will take on the full marathon.<\/p>\n
The course passes several Jakarta landmarks, starting from the\nNational Monument (Monas) area and finishing at the Gelora Bung Karno\n(GBK) Sports Complex.<\/p>\n
