Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has confirmed that the DKI Jakarta\nProvincial Government has coordinated with the Indonesian National Armed\nForces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) following a\ndeadly clash between residents in the Menteng area of Central Jakarta.\nThe measure was taken to ensure the situation remains safe and\nconducive.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have coordinated between the TNI, Polri, and the DKI Jakarta\nGovernment to keep this conducive. Because the tagline \u2018Jaga Jakarta\u2019 is\nsomething we use together, and I am confident that hopefully the\nsituation on the ground is now beginning to calm down, and is no longer\ninflamed by matters arising from disinformation,\u201d Pramono said at\nJakarta City Hall on Monday (27\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n
Pramono stated that the DKI Provincial Government has also instructed\nits ranks to coordinate with law enforcement officers as well as\ncommunity, religious, and youth leaders to prevent the conflict from\nspreading.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have taken action and instructed the ranks of the DKI Jakarta\nGovernment to coordinate with law enforcement officers, community\nleaders, religious leaders, and youth leaders to maintain a conducive\nand peaceful situation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to Pramono, the handling of the clash case is fully\nentrusted to law enforcement officers. He expressed hope that the\ninvestigation and inquiry processes would be carried out in accordance\nwith the provisions of the prevailing laws and regulations.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Jakarta Government places its highest hopes in law enforcement\nofficers to resolve this matter properly, conducting the investigation\nand inquiry in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations,\u201d he\nstated.<\/p>\n
Pramono also appealed to the public not to be easily provoked or to\nspread unverified information. He urged residents to help maintain\nsecurity and refrain from actions that could aggravate the\nsituation.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the Governor of Jakarta, I appeal to all members of the public to\nkeep a cool head, not to engage in provocative actions that could\npotentially widen the conflict, not to spread information or\ndisinformation that is not based on facts, and not to damage public\nfacilities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Pramono once again called on all residents to maintain the\nconduciveness of the capital through the spirit of \u2018Jaga Jakarta\u2019.<\/p>\n
