JAKARTA \u2014 Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has plans to install\nsurveillance cameras (CCTV) across city parks, including Cawang Forest\nPark in East Jakarta, following the circulation of a video alleging\nimmoral activities in the area.<\/p>\n
The measure comes in response to a video that has been circulating\nonline documenting alleged illicit conduct at the location.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will address all of the forest parks accordingly. This includes\ninstalling CCTV cameras,\u201d stated Pramono after attending a\nbreaking-of-fast gathering at Al Hamid Putra Islamic Boarding School,\nCilangkap, Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Saturday.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that he would immediately follow up on the circulating\ninformation and requested that the Civil Service Police (Satpol PP)\nundertake enforcement action.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will ask the Satpol PP to clean up the area,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Pramono stressed that Jakarta cannot tolerate locations conducive to\ndeviant activities.<\/p>\n
\u201cJakarta must not have spaces for such activities,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n
In a video posted on Instagram account @ijoeel<\/span>, the videographer noted that the area\nfrequently attracts groups of men at night.<\/p>\n \u201cI do not know why this place is often used for men to gather. I am\nunsure of the nature of these gatherings,\u201d the videographer stated.<\/p>\n The area was previously raided in 2023 after being suspected as a\nlocation for immoral conduct. The authorities implemented a permanent\nclosure by concrete sealing at key access points deemed high-risk in\norder to restrict entry and exit.<\/p>\n Makassar Sub-district Head Dimas Prayudi stated that this measure was\nundertaken in collaboration with the East Jakarta Parks and Forest\nService.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are attempting to permanently close two access points today\nthrough concrete sealing, in collaboration with the Parks Service, and\nafterwards there will be monitoring and maintenance of the park to\nensure it functions more effectively,\u201d said Dimas at the location on\nFriday (27 February 2026).<\/p>",
