        "content": "<p>The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) DKI Jakarta, through its\nCivil Registry and Population Administration Office (Disdukcapil) DKI\nJakarta, has recorded a trend of declining numbers of new migrants to\nthe capital following Eid al-Fitr 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Disdukcapil DKI Jakarta, Denny Wahyu Haryanto, revealed three\nmain factors influencing this situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis declining trend is possibly due to three factors,\u201d said Denny\nwhen contacted on Tuesday (31\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Currently, several regions have established industrial centres\ncapable of absorbing labour, meaning people no longer need to come to\nJakarta to seek employment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn some areas, industrial centres have been created so that economic\ngrowth is beginning to spread evenly,\u201d Denny stated.<\/p>\n<p>The second factor is the changing mindset of the public towards\nJakarta.<\/p>\n<p>As Jakarta transforms into a global capital, the need for\ncompetencies and skills is increasingly high.<\/p>\n<p>This condition makes prospective migrants realise that living in\nJakarta cannot rely solely on boldness, but requires adequate abilities\nto survive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo live in Jakarta, it\u2019s not just about being bold but having skills\nso that one can adapt quickly in Jakarta,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the lack of certainty in accommodation, many regional\nresidents choose to postpone their arrival.<\/p>\n<p>They wait for certainty on whether they will stay with family,\nrelatives, or in rented accommodation.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Denny emphasised that the data on the number of\nmigrants this year will continue to fluctuate.<\/p>\n<p>His office is still awaiting the results of the recapitulation of\npopulation administration services, which run until 25 April 2026.<\/p>",
