        "content": "<p>`Jakarta, Botabek inseparable&apos;<\/p>\n<p>Governor Surjadi Soedirdja said yesterday that various<br>\nproblems faced by Jakarta could not be solved by the city<br>\nadministration because the capital city is inseparable with<br>\nsurrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The problems of the city are closely related to urbanization<br>\nand the progress of development in the buffer zone areas (Bogor,<br>\nTangerang and Bekasi),&quot; Surjadi said.<\/p>\n<p>He made the statement during the opening of a one day workshop<br>\nentitled The Spatial Urban Arrangement for Metropolis and Its<br>\nProblems at the City Hall.<\/p>\n<p>He said that to tackle the problem of urbanization Jakarta<br>\nmust cooperate with other provinces in general and with Bogor,<br>\nTangerang and Bekasi (Botabek) in particular.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta and Botabek are physically, economically and socially<br>\ninseparable, Surjadi said, because Botabek functions as a<br>\nsupporting area for Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Any transportation, housing, industrial, educational and other<br>\ndevelopments, including the development of water sources and<br>\ntheir distribution must be jointly planned and formulated, he<br>\nadded.
