        "content": "<p>ITS Polytechnic wins Indonesian robot contest<\/p>\n<p>Zakki Hakim, The Jakarta Post, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>A.I.syah, a robot designed by a team from the Sepuluh November<br>\nInstitute of Technology (ITS) Polytechnic in Surabaya, won the<br>\nIndonesian Robot Competition 2003 on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The institute, their third win in three years, will represent<br>\nIndonesia in the Asia Pacific Robot Competition to be held in<br>\nBangkok on Aug. 24.<\/p>\n<p>A new team from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, came<br>\nsecond with their creation called EA-2.<\/p>\n<p>The competition featured 60 robots designed by 32 teams from<br>\n25 universities from across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Each team was required to design manual and or automatic<br>\nrobots that could shoot or place a small ball into one of 27<br>\nrings circling above in an area six meters in diameter.<\/p>\n<p>The rings were located in the center, inner or outer zones,<br>\nwith the center worth five points, the inner zone two points and<br>\nthe outer zone one point.<\/p>\n<p>In each game, two teams competed, with the team scoring the<br>\nmost points declared the winner.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the ITS team, whose robot was named &quot;Ellite&quot;,<br>\nfailed in the international competition in Tokyo, where a robot<br>\nfrom Vietnam called &quot;Telematic&quot; won.<\/p>\n<p>In 2001, the ITS team won the international competition held<br>\nby NHK TV station in Koriyama, Japan. The winning robot was named<br>\n&quot;B-Cak&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>The contest has been held four times, the first three at ITS.<br>\nThis year was the first time the competition was held in Jakarta.<\/p>",
