        "content": "<p>Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) has expressed concern over alleged\nresearch fraud committed by Prihantini, a former Master\u2019s Mathematics\nProgramme alumna from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences\n(FMIPA), who graduated in 2022. Dean Aep Patah clarified that the\nmaterial presented by her at an international conference was unrelated\nto her thesis or academic activities at ITB. Her master\u2019s thesis was\ntitled \u201cAnalytical Study of Water Waves Caused by Landslides on Sloping\nCoasts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The university stated that the alleged actions are a personal legal\nmatter, and ITB respects any legal proceedings that may follow. ITB\nreaffirmed its commitment to fostering an academic culture of integrity\nand responsibility, with zero tolerance for plagiarism, data\nfabrication, result manipulation, or other ethical violations in\nresearch.<\/p>\n<p>According to PDDikti data, Prihantini graduated from Universitas\nNegeri Yogyakarta (UNY) in 2019. During her studies, she actively\nparticipated in student research activities and received funding from\nher university and the ministry. She also won first place in the\nPertamina National Science Olympiad for Mathematics and received an LPDP\nscholarship for her master\u2019s degree at ITB.<\/p>\n<p>Prihantini, also known as Titin, founded Orbit Paper in 2018, an\nacademic writing mentoring platform to assist students and young\nresearchers in publishing their work in international journals and\nconferences. She also established Youth Passion to Action (YPA), a\ncommunity focused on youth development through seminars, webinars, and\ncreative activities.<\/p>\n<p>She has received international awards, including a Special\nAchievement Award from the Women\u2019s Inventors Association NOVA in Bosnia\nand Herzegovina in 2017, a Gold Medal at the World Invention and\nInnovation Forum in China, and a Special Gold Prize from the Manila\nYoung Inventors Association. Prior to these achievements, she served as\na Research Assistant at the Central Health Laboratory focusing on\ninfectious diseases, malaria vectors, and biomedical molecular methods.\nShe also participated in hydrodynamics projects at the National Research\nand Innovation Agency (BRIN).<\/p>\n<p>In her personal life, Titin shared her international conference\nactivities on Instagram (<span class=\"citation\" data-cites=\"pryhanykielh\">@pryhanykielh<\/span>), which had 4,509\nfollowers before the account was removed.
