The government prioritises maintaining the quality of education.<\/p>\n

Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) has once again recorded a\nsignificant achievement in the QS World University Rankings by Subject\n2026. In this year\u2019s rankings, four of ITB\u2019s fields of study\nsuccessfully entered the world\u2019s top 150, namely Mineral & Mining\nEngineering and Petroleum Engineering in the 51-100 global ranking\ncluster, as well as Architecture & Built Environment and Art &\nDesign in the 101-150 global cluster. Overall, ITB placed 16 fields of\nstudy in the global rankings out of 35 analysed, with two fields\nentering the top 100 worldwide.<\/p>\n

This achievement reflects ITB\u2019s sustained performance, particularly\nin the engineering, architecture, and design clusters. The presence of\nMineral & Mining Engineering and Petroleum Engineering in the top\n100 worldwide demonstrates ITB\u2019s consistency in fields that have long\nbeen its strengths. Meanwhile, the entry of Architecture & Built\nEnvironment and Art & Design into the 101-150 global cluster also\nindicates positive development in creative and design fields.<\/p>\n

In addition to those four fields, ITB also recorded good results in\nChemical Engineering, ranked 201-250 worldwide, and Civil Engineering,\nranked 201-275 worldwide. The inclusion of Civil Engineering in the\nranked fields further adds to the representation of ITB\u2019s disciplines in\nthis year\u2019s rankings.<\/p>\n

In the Narrow Subject Rankings 2026, the number of ITB fields\nentering the global rankings increased to 16 from 15 the previous year.\nThis shows that ITB\u2019s scope of disciplines appearing in global rankings\nis expanding, not only in flagship fields but also in various other\ndisciplines.<\/p>\n

    The field of Computer Science & Information Systems also improved\nfrom the 551-600 cluster to 451-500, Business & Management Studies\nfrom 451-500 to 401-450, and Agriculture & Forestry in the 351-400\ncluster.<\/p>\n

    ITB\u2019s positive development is also evident in the Broad Subject Areas\ncategory. This year, Engineering & Technology ranks 216 worldwide\n(up from 282), becoming ITB\u2019s highest-positioned broad subject.<\/p>\n

    Meanwhile, Arts & Humanities is ranked 345 worldwide (up from\n451-500), Natural Sciences at 374 (up from 401-450), and Social Sciences\n& Management at 374 worldwide (up from 451-500). These results\nindicate positive progress, both in flagship fields and in broader\ndisciplinary groups.<\/p>\n

    ITB Rector, Prof.\u00a0Dr.\u00a0Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, stated on 26\/3 that\nthese results demonstrate ITB\u2019s consistency in continuing to be\nIndonesia\u2019s higher education institution present in global academic\ncompetition. These various achievements provide a positive picture of\nthe quality of education, research, and ITB\u2019s academic contributions at\nthe international level. This also reinforces ITB\u2019s target of becoming a\ntop 150 world university by 2030.<\/p>\n

    \u201cI extend my appreciation to the entire academic community and\ninstitutional support elements who continue to work together to\nstrengthen ITB\u2019s position globally.
