Italy offers biotech collaboration<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: A delegation of Italian biotechnology experts is
\ncurrently visiting Indonesia from Nov. 3 through Nov. 8 to
\ndiscuss possible exchanges of the latest technologies in the
\nfields of environmental conservation, agriculture and
\nbiotechnology.<\/p>\n
During its visit here, the delegation will take part in
\nbilateral meetings as well as visit local biotechnology
\ninstitutions such as the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI),
\nthe Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB), and the Eijkman
\nInstitute.<\/p>\n
The visit is aimed at creating a deeper understanding of the
\ntwo countries capabilities and the further development of joint
\nactivities.<\/p>\n
The Indonesian and Italian governments will also organize a
\nworkshop on remote sensing technologies for natural resources
\ninventorization, monitoring and management. -- JP<\/p>",
