Italian-funded clinics handed over to RI<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and
\nthe Italian government officially handed over the operations of
\n10 Satellite Health Clinics to the Indonesian government
\nrecently, an IOM official said in Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The clinics, which are located in nine subdistricts in the
\nBireuen regency, were funded by the Italian government through
\nCooperazione Italiana and officially given to the Ministry of
\nHealth and the Bireuen regency health office, IOM information
\nofficer Katsui Kaya said in a statement sent to The Jakarta Post
\nrecently.<\/p>\n
\"I consider this a milestone in the reconstruction process in
\nAceh, to which Italy pays the utmost importance,\" Italian
\nAmbassador to Indonesia Francesco M. Greco said. \"We are
\nparticularly happy that the operational branches of the Ministry
\nof Health will be able to target the needs in health services for
\nover 15,000 displaced people living in the camps\".<\/p>\n
\"We recognize the important roles which donors and
\ninternational partners play in supporting the recovery process of
\ntsunami-affected Aceh,\" Ministry of Health's director general of
\npublic health Sri Astuti said -- JP<\/p>",
