Italian deported for misusing visa<\/p>\n
CILEGON, West Java: Immigration authorities have deported an
\nItalian national for misusing his tourist visa to open a
\nrestaurant with a local businessman.<\/p>\n
Klemenz Livio, 49, opened an Italian restaurant, Musang Itali
\non Jl. Raya Ciwanda-Anyer, and was deported through Jakarta's
\nSoekarno-Hatta airport on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Livio, who last visited Indonesia on April 16, with his
\ntourist visa effective until June 16, used to work with PT
\nKrakatau Guna Mandiri until last January, Antara reported.<\/p>\n
With his tourist visa, Livio managed to obtain a residence
\npermit and a temporary employment permit from the local manpower
\nministry office.<\/p>\n
He owned 80 percent of the restaurant and his local partner
\nBambang Sutomo, a former employee of the local ministry office,
\nowned the remaining 20 percent.<\/p>\n
The restaurant's permit has been canceled. It was unclear if
\nthe police would investigate the issuance of the business permit.
