Israel has once again violated the ceasefire after resuming attacks\non Gaza. The latest Israeli strikes killed 12 people.<\/p>\n
As reported by AFP on Monday (16 February), despite the US-mediated\nceasefire entering its second phase last month, violence has continued\nin Palestinian territory. Israel has persisted in launching strikes on\nGaza.<\/p>\n
On Sunday (15 February), Israeli attacks in Gaza killed at least 10\npeople within 24 hours. The death toll subsequently rose to 12.<\/p>\n
The civil defence agency, which operates as a rescue force under\nHamas authority, said one strike hit a displacement camp in northern\nGaza whilst another targeted an area in the south.<\/p>\n
Five people were killed and several others wounded when an Israeli\nairstrike targeted a displacement camp in Jabalia in the north. A\nfurther five were killed and several others injured in a separate\nmorning attack on the city of Khan Yunis in the south.<\/p>\n
The Gaza Civil Defence Agency reported one additional person killed\nby Israeli forces\u2019 gunfire in Gaza City. Israeli fire also killed one\nperson in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.<\/p>\n
Al-Shifa and Nasser hospitals confirmed they had received at least\nseven bodies.<\/p>\n
\u201cIsrael does not understand ceasefire or peace,\u201d said Osama Abu\nAskar, who lost his nephew in the Jabalia attack.<\/p>\n
