        "content": "<p>Islamic university appoints professor<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Koswara, the dean of the Social and Political<br>\nSciences school of the Syekh Yusuf Islamic University in<br>\nTangerang, was yesterday appointed as the university's first<br>\nprofessor of political sciences.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesman for the private university, Eno Suhendy told<br>\nAntara yesterday that the appointment was contained in a decision<br>\nmade by the Minister of Education and Culture dated Jan. 1, 1995.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Garut, West Java, in Sept. 1952, Koswara gained his<br>\ndoctoral degree in political sciences from the Bandung-based<br>\nstate-run Pajajaran University after successfully defending his<br>\nthesis.<\/p>\n<p>The official inauguration of Koswara will be carried<br>\nout in the near future. Minister of Education and Culture<br>\nWardiman Djojonegoro is scheduled to attend the inauguration.
