Terrorists constitute a product of certain people or groups or
\nstates that justify any means to achieve their goals. Suicide
\nbombers in this country are victims of ignorance of and
\ndisappointment with the values of "truth" in life, so they can be
\nprovoked to commit such desperate acts.<\/p>\n
Therefore, I would like to appeal to President Susilo Bambang
\nYudhoyono to instruct all universities and high schools to
\ninclude the chapter of jihad (holy war) in the subject of Islamic
\neducation.<\/p>\n
Jihad is waged for peace and Islam contains teachings to
\nachieve peace. The values of virtue in Islam must never be
\ndiverted to the wrong direction. Jihad forbids destruction,
\nkilling of innocent people, razing of worship houses and so
\nforth.<\/p>\n
In order to maintain the noble values of jihad, it should be a
\nmandatory part of the school and college Islamic curriculum. In
\nthis way, there will be no more room for terrorist groups to
\nmislead and recruit people for murder.<\/p>\n
