Islam does not condone violence<\/p>\n
One of Jakarta's newspapers on Aug. 7, 2003, asked its readers
\non its front page, \"To whom are the bombs intended for?\"<\/p>\n
Aug. 5, the most brutal bombing yet in Jakarta rocked the JW
\nMarriott Hotel and the adjacent Plaza Mutiara building.<\/p>\n
The bombings in Bali were perpetrated by Indonesian Muslim
\nmilitants, or terrorists to be more precise, as can be seen from
\nthe ongoing court cases in Denpasar. If the Aug. 5 bombing was
\nthe work of this same group, they have implemented their Islamic
\nteachings wrongly, and have tainted their own religion.<\/p>\n
Islam, as we know, does not condone violence in any form.
\nRasulullah (peace be upon him), in the numerous wars against the
\ninfidels, fought the enemy face-to-face and used tactical
\nmaneuvers to win the wars.<\/p>\n
So when these militants want to fight their foes, they should
\ngo to war and fight those who are considered their foes, and
\ndon't let innocent people be the victims. The Prophet himself
\nprohibits us from even cutting down our foes' trees, hurting
\ntheir cattle, torching their houses, let alone killing innocent
\npeople during war.<\/p>\n
So, if indeed, these militants want to follow the right path
\nof Islamic teachings, and do not want to die in vain, they should
\nabide by the true teachings of Islam and stop, once and for all,
\ntheir cruel adventures.<\/p>\n
