ISCI won the toss and
elected to bat first, posting a total of 181 for five in their
allotted 35 overs, with John Stevenson taking home top scoring
honors with 51 and Wilfred Schultz making a determined 42, the
pick of the Rebels bowlers were Simon Turnbull (1 for 21) and
Matt Cheetham (1 for 24) who both bowled tightly and maintained a
good line throughout.

The Rebels came close, requiring 18 runs off the last over,
but only managed to score 7 finishing on 171 for 8. An injured
Matt Hegarty managed 39, Matt Cheetham contributed 30 and skipper
Marten Eddy brought the Rebels close with a quick 23. For ISCI,
Tim Watson stood out, taking 3 wickets for 21 and three catches,
and Ben Finlay playing in only his third game for ISCI taking two
wickets with his leg-spin bowling.

Indorama CC took on Perkasa CC at the low scoring Karawang
field in the other semifinal. Perkasa won the toss and elected
to bat first, but quickly found themselves at 3-3 and at the
first drink break were 39-5.

Perkasa were able to close the innings at 112 for 8 off their
35 overs, with Venkat Krishna being the only batsman to trouble
the scorers making a solid 40. Rakesh Raturi (3 for 24) and
Srikanth ( 2 for 13) of Indorama finished with impressive bowling
figures.

Indorama, in their innings, had a shaky start losing 4 quick
wickets for only 22 runs, after an impressive first spell by
Perkasa's Manimaren (3 for 21), but in the end 112 was never
really going to be enough, and despite losing a couple of further
wickets along the way Indorama was able to patiently accumulate
the necessary runs to win the game during the penultimate over by
2 wickets.
",
