        "content": "<p>Irresponsible builders<\/p>\n<p>From Media Indonesia<\/p>\n<p>Since Jakarta&apos;s huge floods on Feb. 10, the inhabitants of the<br>\nGreenville housing complex in West Jakarta are stressed out<br>\neverytime it rains. A 15-minute downpour already results in water<br>\nentering our houses.<\/p>\n<p>I have tried to search for the cause. I started at Citraland<br>\nand went north along Jl. Latumeten. It seems the construction<br>\nteam of the Pluit-Grogol flyover has been dumping earth into the<br>\nGrogol river, thus reducing capacities of the area&apos;s rivers<br>\nincluding the Sekretaris and Grogol rivers. The obstruction in<br>\nthe northbound rivers prevents rain water and river water from<br>\nflowing into the sea. The water just stays in the surrounding<br>\nareas like Jl. Daan Mogot.<\/p>\n<p>I would herewith request the authorities to call the project<br>\ncontractor to task and instruct him to dredge the Grogol river.<br>\nWith Grogol river deep enough, West Jakarta will probably be<br>\nspared from more floods.<\/p>\n<p>J.
