        "content": "<p>Irian, Aussie firm tie up<\/p>\n<p>JAYAPURA, Irian Jaya (JP): The Foundation for Irian Jaya<br>\nDevelopment has signed an agreement to cooperate with Australian<br>\nfirm Unique Product Marketing Pty Ltd. to promote education and<br>\ncreate jobs for the Irianese people, the province's governor said<br>\nover the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Freddy Numberi told The Jakarta Post the province-sponsored<br>\nfoundation and the Brisbane-based company would promote the local<br>\npeople's skills in various sectors including fisheries,<br>\ntransportation, mining and scrapped metal collection.<\/p>\n<p>He said the foundation would establish several companies which<br>\nwould be expected to receive financial, marketing and other<br>\ntechnical assistance from the Australian firm.<\/p>\n<p>He did not reveal when the cooperation was signed or for how<br>\nlong it would be effective.
