Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2014 Iran\u2019s Ambassador to Indonesia, Mohammad\nBoroujerdi, has stated that the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali\nKhamenei has issued a fatwa declaring the use of nuclear weapons haram,\nthough his enemies have killed him under the pretext of such weapons.\n\u2018Our great leader has already issued a fatwa that all forms of storage,\nproduction, and use of nuclear weapons are haram,\u2019 Boroujerdi said at an\nevent on Petitions Signing and Joint Prayer in response to aggression by\nthe United States and Israel at the Iranian Ambassador\u2019s residence in\nJakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The ambassador emphasised that all nuclear activities in Iran are\nentirely under the full oversight of the International Atomic Energy\nAgency (IAEA). He said the targeting of Khamenei on grounds of\ndeveloping nuclear weapons was purely a pretext for assassination. \u2018They\n(the US and Israel) are only seeking pretexts and reasons to attack\nIran; and when attacking Iran, two primary targets in the early stages\nof the assault were the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Republic of\nIran and a girls\u2019 primary school,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
Boroujerdi also noted that Khamenei is a leader who has always\npromoted peace and stability. Nevertheless, the US and Israel\u2019s military\naggression on Saturday (28 February) has claimed the life of Khamenei,\nwith the supreme leader reportedly opposing what Boroujerdi described as\n\u2018state-based terrorism.\u2019 Emphasising Khamenei\u2019s hardline stance against\nIsrael, the ambassador said the leader never \u2018smiles\u2019 at the Netanyahu\nregime. \u2018He is a leader who never smiles at the Zionist regime of\nIsrael. He believes that if Muslims wish to be a great and noble Ummah,\nthey must continue to take a firm stance against the Zionists,\u2019\nBoroujerdi asserted firmly.<\/p>\n
