Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has asserted that\nthe United States, the occupying Zionist entity, and NATO have failed to\nforce Iran into submission. He emphasised that any future war would\nnever result in the Islamic Republic\u2019s surrender.<\/p>\n
The statement was made during a meeting with the Chairman of\nIndonesia\u2019s People\u2019s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), Ahmad Muzani.\nMuzani was part of a delegation led by Foreign Minister Sugiono to pay\nfinal respects to Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.<\/p>\n
Ghalibaf stated that Iran has never sought war but remains fully\ncommitted to defending its sovereignty. He added that de-escalation\nefforts would not diminish the country\u2019s military readiness.<\/p>\n
He noted that before the latest conflict erupted, the US, the Israeli\noccupation, and NATO believed they could force Iran to capitulate within\ndays. \u201cHowever, they soon realised that this goal would not be achieved,\nand the entire world has witnessed their failure against Iran,\u201d Ghalibaf\nsaid, as reported by Al Mayadeen.<\/p>\n
Addressing negotiations with Washington, Ghalibaf revealed he had\nmade Iran\u2019s position clear during direct talks with the US vice\npresident. \u201cI told the US vice president in the negotiations that we do\nnot trust you at all,\u201d he disclosed.<\/p>\n
The Iranian Parliament Speaker stressed that Tehran has never ceased\npreparing to defend its territory and sovereignty. He warned, \u201cWhenever\nthe Americans betray an agreement, we are ready for a comprehensive\ndefence.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ghalibaf added that ending the war remains a priority for nations\nworldwide.
