        "content": "<p>REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TEHRAN \u2013 Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces,\nMajor General Mousavi, met with Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan\nin Tehran on Tuesday (25 February 2026). During the meeting, Mousavi\nexplained the regional security situation and Iran\u2019s stance towards the\nUnited States.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have never been the party to initiate any war, and our approach\nin the past has been to prevent the escalation of war and reduce\ncasualties. However, the actions of the United States have forced us to\nchange our approach. If they make a mistake this time, we will inflict\nheavy losses on the enemy. Our nation and armed forces are determined to\nstand against the hegemonic system until the end,\u201d Mousavi said, as\nquoted by the Iranian news agency, IRNA.<\/p>\n<p>Mousavi said that the presence of extra-regional forces is contrary\nto the interests of the people of the region and is a cause of\ninstability and insecurity. Referring to the malicious intentions of\nextra-regional forces in the region, Mousavi said that the world is\ntransitioning away from a unipolar system and unilateralism. The United\nStates cannot tolerate this shift and is trying to impose its hegemony\nthrough illegitimate and illegal actions. However, the transition from a\nunipolar system is inevitable.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the meeting with the Armenian Defence Minister, Mousavi\nhighlighted the long-standing friendly relations between Iran and\nArmenia.
