The Iranian government says it is ready for any possible war scenario\nas the conflict with the United States (US) continues. The latest\nreports say US President Donald Trump has hinted at further strikes,\nwhich could take place before America\u2019s midterm elections on 3\nNovember.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are ready for every scenario, including the suspension of air and\nrail services,\u201d Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said\nat a press conference, according to the ISNA news agency and Al-Arabiya\non Wednesday (14 October 2026).<\/p>\n
Mohajerani added that she could not disclose the government\u2019s\nemergency measures, saying the country was at war and certain\ninformation could not be made public.<\/p>\n
\u201cI cannot disclose the measures taken by the government because we\nare in a state of war,\u201d she stressed.<\/p>\n
She added that although some reports amounted to little more than\nrumours and speculation, the Iranian government had, of course, prepared\nfor the most difficult scenarios.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson\u2019s remarks came amid increasingly frequent warnings\nand threats from Tehran in recent days.<\/p>\n
Previously, Iranian Defence Ministry spokesperson Reza Talaei-Nik\nsaid that any further attacks by the US and Israel would be met with a\n\u201cdecisive response\u201d and would inflict greater losses on Iran\u2019s\nadversaries, according to the Fars News Agency.<\/p>\n
He said Iran had equipped its armed forces with \u201cmore advanced\nmissile and drone technology\u201d, as well as air, naval and land defence\nsystems.<\/p>\n
Talaei-Nik also said Iran had increased its production capacity for\nweapons, defence equipment and ammunition to 2.5 times the level\nrecorded before the war began on 28 February.<\/p>\n
\u201cProduction of some types of weapons has increased more than\nthreefold,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that more than 1,000 systems, weapons, types of equipment\nand ammunition were now within the production capacity of the Defence\nMinistry and its network of partners.<\/p>\n
Trump hints at attack on Iran before US midterms<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Trump hinted this week at further military action against\nIran. US media reports said Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin\nNetanyahu had discussed a major attack on Iran before the US midterm\nelections in November.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust wait until you see what we\u2019re going to do to Iran. We\u2019re going\nto do something big,\u201d Trump told supporters at a campaign event for the\nRepublican Party in Alaska ahead of the midterms, according to Anadolu\nAgency on Wednesday (14 October).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve had enough. You know, we\u2019ve had enough,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
