This statement\nwas made to refute the claim by US President Donald Trump that Iran\nagreed to hand over the uranium.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIran\u2019s enriched uranium will not be transferred anywhere,\u201d said\nspokesman for Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baqaei to Iranian state\ntelevision, as reported by AFP news agency, quoted by detikNews on\nSaturday (18\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe transfer of Iran\u2019s enriched uranium to the US was never\ndiscussed in the negotiations,\u201d he snapped.<\/p>\n<p>Trump had posted on his Truth Social platform on Friday morning\n(17\/4) local time about \u201cthe US will get all the \u2018Nuclear Dust\u2019 produced\nby our great B2 bomber planes,\u201d referring to the enriched uranium that\nwas buried due to the US attack last year.<\/p>\n<p>However, Baqaei said recent talks have centred on resolving the\nconflict, not on handing over Iran\u2019s uranium stockpiles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrevious negotiations focused on nuclear issues, but now the\nnegotiations focus on ending the war, and of course the scope of topics\ndiscussed has become broader and more diverse,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 10-point plan to lift sanctions is very important to us. The\nissue of compensation for damages caused during the imposed war is very\nimportant,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>He also criticised Trump for posting on Truth Social about the US\nnaval blockade of Iranian ports remaining in place until a peace\nagreement with Tehran is reached, even though the Strait of Hormuz has\nbeen declared open again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe opening and closing of the Strait of Hormuz does not happen on\nthe internet; it is determined on the ground, and our armed forces\ncertainly know how to act in response to any actions from the other\nside,\u201d Baqaei said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat they call a naval blockade will certainly be met with an\nappropriate response from Iran.
