The Iranian officials described the attacks as a planned effort to\ninflame regional anger and drag Arab states into a war against Tehran. A\nTehran Foreign Ministry official told Middle East Eye that Israel was\nbehind several drone strikes against Saudi Arabia. The official also\nclaimed they were responsible for at least one attack on Oman. \u201cI can\nstate emphatically that some of the attacks were not carried out by us,\u201d\nthe official said, requesting anonymity. The official declined to\nspecify which attacks were attributed to Israel, but Saudi Arabia has\nbeen struck at least five times by drones and missiles. Prince Sultan\nAir Base, the Ras Tanura oil refinery, and the US Embassy in Riyadh are\namong the facilities that have been targeted. The Duqm Port in Oman has\nalso been targeted twice, a wide area regularly accessed by the US Navy\nsince 2019.
