        "content": "<p>IPTN unit eyes KL market<\/p>\n<p>BANDUNG (JP): Universal Maintenance Center PT Nusantara Turbin<br>\n&amp; Propulsi (UMC-NTP), a subsidiary of state-owned aircraft<br>\nmanufacturer PT IPTN, is hoping to secure a contract in Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>UMC-NTP marketing support manager Mulyanto said here on<br>\nWednesday the company was audited by the Malaysian Department of<br>\nCivil Aviation and declared qualified to enter the market.<\/p>\n<p>He said the contract would be to provide maintenance services<br>\nfor either Pratt &amp; Whitney JTBD engines used in Boeing 737s,<br>\nAlison A-250 engines used in Bell-206s or General Electric CT-7<br>\nengines in CN-235s.<\/p>\n<p>\"If obtained, we estimate the contract would yield about US$4<br>\nmillion a year; a figure which could possibly increase over the<br>\nyears,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mulyanto said UMC-NTP had provided similar services in the<br>\nPhilippines, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, Thailand,<br>\nIndia, Brunei Darussalam, Bangladesh and the United States.<br>\n(43\/cst)<\/p>",
