The prosecutor demanded that Ipda I Gde Aris Chandra Widianto be\nsentenced to eight years in prison in the case of the death of Brigadier\nMuhammad Nurhadi in Gili Trawangan, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. In\naddition to the prison sentence, Aris was also charged with paying\nhundreds of millions of Rupiah in restitution to the victim\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n
The indictment was read by prosecutor Ahmad Budi Muklish during a\nhearing at the Mataram District Court, Thursday (February 26, 2026). In\nthis case, Aris was found guilty of committing aggravated assault and\nobstructing the investigation or concealing evidence.<\/p>\n
\u201cSentencing the defendant to eight years in prison, less the time the\ndefendant has served,\u201d said Ahmad Budi Muklish, the prosecutor, in the\nMataram District Court courtroom, Thursday (February 26, 2026).<\/p>\n
The prosecutor stated that Aris violated Article 468 Paragraph (1) of\nLaw Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code and Article 221\nParagraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 20\nletters a or c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code.<\/p>\n
In addition to the prison sentence, Aris was charged with paying\ncompensation or restitution to Elma Agustina, the wife of Brigadier\nMuhammad Nurhadi, in the amount of Rp 385,773,589. The amount of\nrestitution is based on the assessment of the Witness and Victim\nProtection Agency (LPSK) Number: R.6128\/5.2.HSKR\/LPSK\/10\/2025 dated\nOctober 16, 2025.<\/p>\n
The prosecutor stated that if the restitution is not paid within 30\ndays, Aris\u2019s assets or income may be seized and auctioned to fulfill the\nobligation.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf it is not sufficient or not possible to carry out, the defendant\nwill be subject to a substitute prison sentence of two years,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Ipda Aris is a defendant along with Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama.\nThe charges against both of them were read separately during the\ntrial.<\/p>\n
Brigadier Nurhadi died at Villa Tekek The Beach House Resort, Gili\nTrawangan, on Wednesday (April 16, 2025) night. At that time, the victim\nwas at the location with Kompol Yogi and Ipda Aris after a drinking and\ndrug party.<\/p>\n
