        "content": "<p>IPB holds pap smear test<\/p>\n<p>BOGOR: The deaths of two uterine cancer patients, whose<br>\nsurviving husbands work at the Bogor Institute of Agriculture<br>\n(IPB), has moved the institute to organize Papanicolaou, or Pap,<br>\nsmears for women at the university.<\/p>\n<p>About 200 women are expected to take part in the tests to be<br>\nheld on Monday and Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\"We decided to hold the tests after we found out that the<br>\nwives of two lecturers died because of uterine cancer,\" the head<br>\nof the institute's polyclinic and a lecturer of the School of<br>\nMathematics and Natural Sciences, Sri Budiarti, said.<\/p>\n<p>All women employees of IPB and the wives of IPB employees, as<br>\nwell as low-ranking civil servants, are entitled to a free<br>\ntesting, but women unaffiliated with the institute will be<br>\ncharged a small fee of Rp 50,000 each.<\/p>\n<p>Budiarti said that the smears would be sent to Cipto<br>\nMangunkusumo General Hospital in Central Jakarta, and those<br>\ndiagnosed with uterine cancer would be referred to the Indonesian<br>\nRed Cross Hospital in Bogor for immediate treatment. -- JP<\/p>",
