        "content": "<p>Investors win contracts to build Java toll roads<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): PT Jasa Marga, the state-owned company assigned<br>\nto manage all highways in the country, has signed eight new<br>\nrevenue-sharing contracts with investors for the construction of<br>\ntoll roads in Java with a total length of more than 200,000<br>\nkilometers.<\/p>\n<p>Jasa Marga's president, Maryadi Darmokumoro, was quoted by<br>\nAntara as saying Friday that the first deal was signed with PT<br>\nIstaka Karya for the construction of the 28.3 kilometer Cirebon-<br>\nPalimanan segment of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road in West Java.<br>\nThe contract will be valid for 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>The second deal was awarded to PT Marga Nujyasumo Agung for<br>\nthe 38.5 kilometer Surabaya-Mojokerto toll road in East Java for<br>\na period of 29 years and the third to PT Hutama Karya for the<br>\nrenovation of the Jagorawi (Jakarta-Bogor-Ciawi) toll road for<br>\nfive years.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth deal was signed with PT Intsia Pasifik Permai for<br>\nthe construction of the 70 kilometer Semarang-Batang toll road in<br>\nCentral Java for a period of 28 years and the fifth with PT Adhi<br>\nKarya for the construction of a nine-kilometer highway in<br>\nSemarang, Central Java, for 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>The sixth contract was awarded to PT Wijaya Karya for the<br>\nestablishment of the 22 kilometer Cileunyi-Nagreg toll road in<br>\nWest Java for a period of 15 years and the seventh to PT Waskita<br>\nKarya for the construction of the six-kilometer toll road in<br>\nCitatah, West Java, for a period of 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>The eighth deal involved several co-investors, including PT<br>\nCitra Lamtoro Gung Persada, PT Tridan Satria Putra Indonesia, PT<br>\nBhaskara Dunia Jaya and the Tiara Indah foundation. It is not<br>\nclear which toll road this particular deal concerned. The report<br>\nonly cited that the agreement is valid for a 33 year<br>\nperiod.(hdj)<\/p>",
