Investors Aiming for SOE Privatization

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Investors at the stock exchange are waiting for the policy of privatization of several State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) to be enacted.<\/p>\n
Rizal Gozali, President Director of the Credit Suisse Group said that SOEs in the infrastructure, energy and banking sectors have aroused investors' interests.<\/p>\n
The reason for this is that, according to Rizal, these three sectors have supported the government in stimulating the economy.<\/p>\n
The enterprises in question are PT Krakatau Steel, PT Indonesia Power, PT Jasa Marga and PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara.<\/p>\n
Other state-owned banks that have offered their shares in privatization programs such as Bank Mandiri and Bank BRI are also looking forward for half of their shares to be offered.<\/p>\n
\u201cBank Tabungan Negara is also interesting,\u201d Rizal said today (1\/8).<\/p>\n
Sugiharto, the State Minister for State Enterprises, has confirmed this.<\/p>\n
The government has indeed decided to carry out the privatization program again this year.<\/p>\n
It is targeted to reach around Rp3 trillion.<\/p>\n
