        "content": "<p>Bekasi: The global Japanese patisserie company, Chateraise Co., Ltd.,\nhas begun construction of its second factory in Indonesia through its\nsubsidiary Chateraise Indonesia, under the Gobel Group since 2016. The\nstrategic partnership and expansion are estimated to record an\ninvestment value exceeding Rp1.4 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of this production facility located in Bekasi serves\nas evidence of the Japanese company\u2019s long-term commitment to\nstrengthening domestic production capacity, while also responding to the\nhigh growth in market demand in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Since opening its first outlet in 2017, Chateraise has expanded to\nhave more than 60 retail stores. The strengthening of local production\nhas already begun since the operation of their first factory in\n2022.<\/p>\n<p>Integration of local agriculture and the halal industry<\/p>\n<p>This expansion of the second factory is not merely focused on\nincreasing production volume, but also brings a mission to integrate the\nlocal agricultural sector with modern manufacturing. Adopting a\nfarm-to-factory approach, the factory will optimally absorb local raw\nmaterials from upstream to downstream.<\/p>\n<p>CEO of Ch\u00e2terais\u00e9 Holdings Co., Ltd., Takako Saito, stated that this\ncollaboration is designed to create added value for the national\nindustrial ecosystem in a sustainable manner, as well as technology\ntransfer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe construction of this second factory reflects our long-term\ncommitment in Indonesia. Through the farm-to-factory approach, we want\nto create added value from local raw materials while contributing to job\ncreation. We believe that collaboration with the Gobel Group will\ncontinue to have a positive impact,\u201d said Saito at the Deltamas\nIndustrial Estate on Monday, 13 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>With the presence of this new manufacturing facility, the production\ncapacity of Chateraise\u2019s favourite products will increase. One of them\nis the production of flagship products like custard puffs, which is\ntargeted to increase up to tenfold compared to the previous facility\u2019s\ncapacity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn terms of value, the current production capacity reaches 1.2\nbillion yen. This new factory will increase the capacity tenfold from\nthe first factory,\u201d said Saito through her interpreter.<\/p>\n<p>This strategic step in food manufacturing aligns with the\ngovernment\u2019s vision in attracting quality investments. Previously, in\nFebruary 2025, the Minister of Investment\/Head of BKPM and CEO of\nDanantara, Rosan Roeslani, held a special meeting with Takako Saito. In\nthat meeting, Chateraise\u2019s commitment to optimising the absorption of\nlocal commodities, such as cocoa and sweet potatoes, was discussed,\nwhich aligns with the roadmap for strengthening the national halal\nindustry.<\/p>",
