        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming\/Investment Coordinating\nBoard (BKPM) and the European Union Delegation to Indonesia have\nofficially signed a cooperation statement for the establishment of an EU\nDesk within the Ministry\u2019s offices, aimed at strengthening collaboration\nto facilitate increased foreign direct investment (FDI) from the EU to\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Investment and Downstreaming\/Head of BKPM, Rosan Perkasa\nRoeslani, expressed optimism that the establishment of the EU Desk would\ndrive greater EU investment in Indonesia. This is in line with President\nPrabowo Subianto\u2019s directive to simplify regulations and policies to\nreduce bureaucratic barriers, particularly in investment matters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe the presence of the EU Desk will open more channels of\ncommunication and strategic cooperation opportunities that can be\nmutually leveraged. The European Union is an important partner for\nIndonesia, and the establishment of this EU Desk will further strengthen\ncollaboration going forward,\u201d said Rosan on Monday (16 June 2025).<\/p>\n<p>The EU Desk will serve as a service centre for EU investors seeking\nto invest in Indonesia. Its functions will include providing market\nintelligence, business licensing guidance, business cooperation\nfacilitation, identification of potential investment projects, and\nregulatory policy harmonisation between both parties.<\/p>\n<p>Cooperation will be directed towards future-oriented sectors relevant\nto the priority policies of both Indonesia and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Rosan stated that this cooperation also reaffirms Indonesia\u2019s\ncommitment to remaining open to collaboration with various strategic\npartners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, we are increasingly open to broader cooperation. I\nbelieve that with this EU Desk, more partnerships will be created in the\nfuture. We are ready to continue building and strengthening\ncollaboration with the European Union going forward,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
