        "content": "<p>Investment in Malaysia up<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Foreign investment in Malaysia reached 21<br>\nbillion ringgit (US$8.4 billion) in the eight months to August,<br>\nhigher than the 20-billion-ringgit mark reached for all of last<br>\nyear, an investment official said Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\"Up to August, foreigners have already invested 21 billion<br>\nringgit, which is more than the total for the whole of last<br>\nyear,\" Zainun Aishah Ahmad, director-general of the Malaysian<br>\nIndustrial Development Authority (MIDA), was quoted as saying by<br>\nBernama news agency.<\/p>\n<p>Officials have been concerned that investment could shrink<br>\nthis year as Malaysia intensifies its shift from labor-intensive<br>\nindustries into more capital and high-technology based<br>\noperations.<\/p>",
