Investment in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, has reached Rp 2.1 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, representing 51% of the annual target. The influx consists of both domestic and foreign capital, primarily driven by the tourism sector in key districts.

Investment value in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has hit
Rp 2.1 trillion in the first quarter of 2026. This achievement
represents 51% of the target set by the NTB Provincial Government, which
is Rp 4 trillion.

“For this first quarter period, the achievement has reached 51% of
the target. It stands at approximately Rp 2.1 trillion up to the first
quarter,” stated the Regent of Central Lombok, Lalu Pathul Bahri, to the
media on Tuesday (2/6/2026).

According to Pathul, the incoming investment comprises Domestic
Investment (PMDN) amounting to Rp 1.5 trillion and Foreign Direct
Investment (PMA) of approximately Rp 541 billion. Accumulated together,
the total investment reaches Rp 2.1 trillion.

“That is the report of investor activities up to the first quarter,”
Pathul added.

Investment in the first quarter of 202cap 2026 is still dominated by
the tourism sector in the Pujut, Praya Barat Daya, and Praya Barat
districts. These areas remain the primary destinations for both foreign
and local investors.

Pathul emphasised that the acceleration of investment in Central
Lombok cannot rest on the current Rp 2.1 trillion figure alone. He urged
relevant agencies to continue monitoring the investment acceleration
process on the ground.

“In principle, we are encouraging investment acceleration by speeding
up all investment licensing processes, provided they comply with spatial
planning and basic permits are met,” Pathul explained.

The Gerindra Party politician expressed hope that the influx of
investment in Central Lombok would increase Regional Original Income
(PAD). This is considered vital for improving public welfare.

“Hopefully, in the future, this increase in PAD will motivate more
people to invest. Because we frequently discuss the importance of
revenue,” Pathul concluded.
",
